Despite the opposing team raising concerns about job displacement due to robotics and the necessary human participation, the debate concluded with the victory of the team supporting the notion of robotics’ positive effect on global sustainable development goals. They successfully argued that just like any human innovation, robotics have both positive and negative effects. The responsible use of robotics hinges on the data quality and their programmed values, and since humans create robots, the use of this data will determine whether they contribute to societal progress or pose a risk to it.
