Technology giants are adopting humanoid robots

Unitree Robotics Unveils Affordable G1 Humanoid Robot at Beijing Expo

Unitree Robotics, a Chinese tech startup, has recently made waves in the global humanoid robotics industry with the launch of its latest G1 humanoid robot. Priced at just 99,000 yuan ($13,700), the G1 is significantly more affordable than many other robots on the market, positioning Unitree Robotics as a strong competitor in terms of both price and performance.

Standing at 127 centimeters tall, the G1 boasts impressive stability and flexibility, with features such as 180-degree body rotation and the ability to crack walnuts “barehanded”. Equipped with advanced technologies including LiDAR, depth cameras, and dexterous hands, the G1 is driven by the self-developed large language model UnifoLM, allowing for precise object manipulation and intelligent learning abilities.

The key to Unitree Robotics’ ability to offer such low prices lies in its years of experience in developing quadruped robots and its self-developed electric drive technology. By independently developing and producing core components such as servo motors, reducers, and controllers, Unitree Robotics has been able to streamline the development process and reduce costs.

With the rise of AI technology, humanoid robots like the G1 are becoming increasingly popular in the intelligent robotics industry. Chinese companies are quickly establishing themselves as major players in this emerging sector, with Unitree Robotics leading the way with its affordable and high-performance humanoid robots.
