TAIPEI, Taiwan, June 02, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — At COMPUTEX, NVIDIA has announced the general software availability of NVIDIA AI Enterprise-IGX with NVIDIA Holoscan on the NVIDIA IGX platform. This new offering aims to meet the growing demand for real-time AI computing at the industrial edge, providing solution providers in the medical, industrial, and scientific computing sectors with the tools to develop and deploy edge AI solutions faster and more efficiently.

NVIDIA AI Enterprise-IGX is designed to offer enterprises unparalleled performance, security, and support for their edge computing software stack, enabling the streamlined deployment of AI applications at scale. Holoscan, on the other hand, is a sensor-processing platform that facilitates the development and deployment of AI and high-performance computing applications, delivering real-time insights.

By combining AI Enterprise-IGX and Holoscan on the IGX platform, NVIDIA is providing an enterprise-grade solution that offers powerful AI compute, flexible sensor integration, real-time performance, and functional safety for the industrial edge. The NVIDIA IGX Orin 700 now supports the NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada GPU, offering a 7x increase in AI performance compared to using an onboard iGPU. The platform also supports the new IGX Orin 500 system-on-module, enabling flexible carrier-board designs without sacrificing enterprise software support.

Several companies, including Advantech, ADLINK, Aetina, and others, are building NVIDIA-Certified IGX systems, ensuring optimized performance for accelerated AI workloads.

Leading medical technology companies such as Barco, Karl Storz, Medtronic, and Moon Surgical are adopting NVIDIA IGX with Holoscan to accelerate the development of AI-powered solutions for medical diagnostics, surgical robots, and patient care agents.
