Samsung Electronics Hosts ‘2024 Tech Forum’ in Silicon Valley, Discusses AI Innovations and Product Developments
Samsung Electronics recently hosted its ‘2024 Tech Forum’ in Silicon Valley, bringing together AI experts to discuss the latest business and research developments. The event, organized by Samsung Research America, featured senior managers sharing insights on topics such as LPDDR5X, Mobile DRAM, Thinnest DRAM, AI Applications, and Technology Innovation.
Among the attendees was Vice Chairman and CEO Han Jong-hee, who emphasized Samsung’s commitment to collaborating with AI professionals and building connections in the industry. In product news, Samsung announced the mass production of its newest solid-state drive (SSD), the “PM9E1,” designed for high-performance AI personal computers. The SSD offers improved power efficiency and performance, with plans to expand to global PC manufacturers and launch consumer products in the future.
Additionally, Samsung began production of the thinnest mobile DRAM, LPDDR5X, in August. This DRAM is tailored for on-device AI applications, with packages available in 12GB and 16GB sizes at just 0.65 mm high.
