David Crozier CBE Appointed Director of Ulster University’s Artificial Intelligence Collaboration Centre
Ulster University’s Artificial Intelligence Collaboration Centre (AICC) has a new leader at the helm. David Crozier CBE, a seasoned technology leader with over 25 years of experience, has been appointed as the Director of the AICC. This multi-million-pound center, established in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast, aims to drive AI adoption in businesses and create high-value jobs in the sector.
The AICC, launched as part of a significant investment by Invest Northern Ireland and the Department for the Economy, is set to revolutionize the AI landscape in Northern Ireland. With David Crozier at the helm, the center plans to accelerate AI adoption across key industries, foster essential talent, and establish the region as a hub of AI innovation.
David’s impressive track record includes leading Software NI, where he grew the membership base significantly and set ambitious goals for the local software industry. His experience at Queen’s University Belfast’s Centre for Secure Information Technologies and his involvement in various technology-focused organizations make him a perfect fit for the role.
Under David’s leadership, the AICC will offer postgraduate AI qualifications, train thousands of workers in AI skills, and promote AI adoption across industries such as logistics, finance, life sciences, manufacturing, and Agri-Tech. This initiative is poised to boost competitiveness and productivity in Northern Ireland and beyond.
