Delta debuts his update of the Patreon game application after changing the rules of the application store

Game emulator called Delta uses a recent court decision regarding the Apple App Store to support its activity through a link to the membership party in Patreon. The update, approved on Wednesday to release in the American App Store, allows Delta users to join the Delta team patreon directly from the mobile application, without providing an Apple subscription.

This move is the court decision following last week, which forced Apple to fully open an American application store for external shopping, after many years of fighting Epic Games with Fortnite Maker. Although Apple largely won this antitrust lawsuit, the judge ruled that the technological giant did not act properly on the order of the court in one key area: shopping in the application.

Apple has previously checked which applications could link to their websites and added screens to scare users from making purchases via external payment mechanisms. He was still taking a commission on the sale of 27%, compared to the usual 30%.

After the judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers said that Apple has not met its original order, Apple has changed the rules of the store with applications for the USA, since then companies such as Spotify, Amazon Kindle and Patreon have updated their applications to iOS to add links to their websites where consumers can pay directly, without using the Apple shopping in the application.

Although this is a victory for larger companies that can now maintain more of their profits, bypassing the Apple commission, the Delta update is an example of how governing consists of new business models to earn mobile applications.

This change can ensure the App Store needed for growth has stayed declining And every issue of “Sherlocks” (copies) more applications of other companies. Smaller programmers often try to earn a living after paying a 30% Apple commission, but now they have the opportunity to maintain more profits thanks to the extended support of online payments.

In the updated version of the Delta Game Emulator application, users are asked to “join our patreon” from the application settings screen. Here they can then click the button to subscribe to 3 USD per month in Patreon, which provides access to exclusive functions and other benefits.

The website opens in the application, enabling users to connect Patreon accounts and select the level of membership, such as monthly or annual. (Previously users could connect the Patreon account only in the application, but they could not subscribe directly).

“We can now freely mention our patreon without passing Apple 27% of donations,” noted Delta Creator Riley Testut on the post in social mediaIN addition“Fathered screens” – reference to previously required warnings that they pulled users away from external shopping links.

Delta still contains a way to pay Apple purchases in the application, as is still required. However, it is hidden in the “Alternative payment methods” menu on the settings screen – the option of many users will probably never look.

Hiding the pro-consumers option deep in the menu layers is a trick that Apple has used over the years.

For example, if you want to turn off personalized Apple ads (basically the Apple version of its required authorization “do not follow” the application), you need to delve into the iOS settings, go to privacy and security, scroll down at the bottom of the page, touch Apple ads, and then turn off the personalized ads. Or, if you want to clean the data on the use of applications that personalize the experience in the App Store, you need to go to setting> Applications> App Store> Scroll at the bottom of this page, touch the personalized recommendations, and then tap Clean the data on the use of the application on the displayed screen.

Apple certainly cannot be angry with programmers for accepting their own tactics?

Considering that the Delta application has received approval on the review of Apple application, it seems that we will soon see other applications supported by Patreon in the near future.
