At the Wednesday event Made by Google, the company has announced new functions in Google photos that will allow users to ask the application to edit their photos. Functionality will start first on Pixel 10 devices in the USA, enabling people to describe any editions that they want to take in a photo either by voice or text.
Google also adds service C2PA CONTENTALS in Google pictures. Pixel 10 phones will be the first of Google that adopted this standard, which aims to improve transparency around the creation of images and whether AI is involved. On the Pixel C2PA devices it is supported with the camera application itself and in every pictures taken, even if AI is not used.
The new “Edit inquiry” function in Google photos uses twins so that you can ask for a change of photo using natural language. For example, you can say things such as “delete cars in the background” or something less specific, such as “restore this old photo”, and Google photos will take action. The add -on can help those who are not the same on technology or understand the editing tools well to continue to make adaptations to improve their photos.

This function can support tasks such as lighting adjustment and removal of dispersion from images, as well as more creative editions such as changing the background or adding elements to the photo. Google suggests that you can use it to add sunglasses and party hat to the topic of the photo, for example.
Even if you don't know what to ask for, you can start with a request for help, such as “Share” and Google photos will automatically make changes to the image. The application can also offer suggestions on what to fix and supports requests for a succession during tuning the edition.

Google claims that C2PA will be the first in Pixel 10 devices, and then gradually introduce Google photos on iOS and Android in the coming weeks. “Edit a query”, starts on Wednesday.
