Brightpick’s Autopicker system has been making waves in the robotics industry, winning the prestigious RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award for its groundbreaking technology. The system, which combines mobile manipulation and each picking, has been recognized for its ability to automate e-commerce order fulfillment with unparalleled accuracy.

Unlike previous robots that struggled to reach commercially viable levels of reliability, Autopicker has integrated newer artificial intelligence technology to enhance its capabilities. Jan Zizka, co-founder and CEO of Brightpick, highlighted the significant advancements in machine learning that have enabled Autopicker to generalize to unseen items, a feat that was not possible just a few years ago.

The Autopicker system features a mobile base, robotic arm, machine vision, and AI algorithms that have been trained on over 500 million picks to date. It can handle a wide range of items, including groceries, cosmetics, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and apparel, with 99.9% accuracy. Additionally, Autopicker supports pallet picking, replenishment, dynamic slotting, buffering, and dispatch, making it a versatile solution for warehouse automation.

Customers such as Netrush and Rohlik Group have already begun deploying Autopicker in their warehouses, with the system available for direct purchase or through a robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) model. Brightpick, a unit of machine vision provider Photoneo s.r.o., has raised $19 million in Series B funding for its U.S. expansion, reflecting the strong demand for its innovative robotics solutions.
