Anthropic began to introduce “voice mode” for his Claude Chatbot applications.
Voice mode (for now in the beta version) allows users of the Claude mobile application “Complete conversations with Claude” and will come in English in the next few weeks, according to Anthropic's Official account on x AND Updated documentation on the company's website.
At least One user for x Reports that gained access to voice mode at the end of Tuesday. By default, it is powered by the Claude Sonnet 4 Anthropica model.
“Voice mode … allows you to talk to Claude and hear the answer in a voice, making it easier to use Claude when your hands are occupied, but your mind is not” – we read Support page. “Voice mode transforms the way of interaction with Claude, … by displaying key points on the screen when Claude speaks (I), allowing you to talk to Claude and hear Claude's voice reactions.”
Many AI companies, including OpenNAI, offer voice chat for their chatbots. For example, Google has a live gemini, and XAI has a voice mode for groc. Each of them allows users to interact with bots, saying instead of writing, thanks to which the conversations seem more natural and intuitive.
Thanks to the taste of Anthropik's voice mode, users can talk about such things as documents and paintings and choose from five different voice options. Users can also switch between text and voice in flight and see transcription and summary after conversations.
The ability has certain limits. Voice conversations count on regular use hats-Anthropic says that 20-30 conversations are what most free users can expect. In addition, only paid Claude subscribers can use the Google Workspace connector, which enables voice mode access to the dates of the Google calendar IE -Maili gmail (the integration of Google documents is exclusive to Claude Enterprise Plans).
Anthropic CPO Mike Krieger confirmed that the company was working on Claude's voice capabilities in an interview with the Financial Times at the beginning of March. According to the report, Anthropic held talks with Amazon, the main investor and partner of the company as well as AI's Eletians to ensure future voice functions for Claude.
It is not clear which of these partnerships, if at all, took place.
