Cloudera Expands Collaboration with NVIDIA to Enhance Generative AI Capabilities

Cloudera and NVIDIA Collaborate to Enhance Generative AI Capabilities

Cloudera, a leading enterprise AI company, has announced an expansion of its collaboration with NVIDIA to enhance generative AI capabilities. This partnership aims to enable faster, more secure, and simplified generative AI workflows, ultimately accelerating the implementation of AI applications from pilot to production.

By integrating NVIDIA NIM microservices into the Cloudera Data Platform, Cloudera is empowering customers to derive actionable insights from generative AI to drive real-world business applications. This collaboration will enable developers to customize and deploy enterprise-grade Large Language Models (LLMs), unlocking rich data value through high-performance AI workflows and accelerated computing wherever data resides.

The collaboration will leverage NVIDIA AI Enterprise, specifically NVIDIA NIM microservices, to unlock the potential of a staggering 25 exabytes of enterprise data secured within the Cloudera Data Platform. This combination of enterprise data with a full-stack platform optimized for LLM plays a crucial role in advancing generative AI applications from pilot to production.

NVIDIA NIM and NeMo Retriever microservices will facilitate AI model connection to business data, including text, images, and visualizations, to generate accurate and contextually relevant inputs. Cloudera Machine Learning will enable customers to leverage the value of their enterprise data managed by Cloudera, bringing superior AI workflows and computing to the data, regardless of location.

Cloudera plans to integrate multiple NVIDIA microservices, including model and application serving powered by NVIDIA microservices to improve model inference performance across all workloads. This collaboration will also offer integrated NVIDIA NeMo Retriever microservices to simplify the connection of custom LLMs to enterprise data, enabling users to create retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)-based applications ready for production use.

Priyank Patel, Vice President of AI/ML Products at Cloudera, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating, “Cloudera is integrating NVIDIA NIM and CUDA-X microservices to power Cloudera Machine Learning, helping customers turn AI hype into business reality.”

Justin Boitano, Vice President of Enterprise Products at NVIDIA, emphasized the importance of leveraging high volumes of data for generative AI applications, stating, “The integration of NVIDIA NIM microservices into the Cloudera Data Platform offers developers a way to more easily and flexibly deploy LLMs to drive business transformation.”

This collaboration between Cloudera and NVIDIA signifies a significant advancement in generative AI capabilities, providing enterprises with the tools and technologies needed to harness the power of AI for real-world business applications.
