Practical rating of Meta, Amazon, Google and new adaptive models AR approach
Forecasting time ranks is everywhere – in business, finance, retail and even public policy. The challenge is easy to describe, but difficult to solve: we want to predict the future based on the past, even when the trends of change or patterns change unexpectedly.
This article compared four popular methods of forecasting time ranks-proproph, Deepar, TFP-SSS and adaptive AR-AR-ARSS of various scenarios and data sets. Each model has unique strengths and weaknesses, especially in terms of dealing with different types of data and forecasting challenges. The analysis illustrates that although no single model appears as an excellent choice for every situation, understanding the nuances of each method allows practices to choose the most suitable tool for their specific forecasting needs, whether interpretation, computing efficiency or accuracy.
