OpenAI recently launched a new app integration in ChatGPT, which allows you to connect your accounts directly to ChatGPT and ask the assistant to do something for you. For example, with Spotify integration, you can tell it to create personalized playlists that will appear directly in your Spotify app.
To get started, make sure you are logged in to ChatGPT. Then enter the name of the app you want to use at the beginning of the prompt and ChatGPT will guide you through logging in and connecting your account.
If you want to configure everything at once, go to the Settings menu and then click Apps & Connectors. You can browse through the available apps, select the ones you like, and you'll be taken to each app's login page.
However, please note that linking your account means sharing your application data with ChatGPT. Remember to check the permissions you grant when linking your accounts. For example, if you connect your Spotify account, ChatGPT can see your playlists, listening history, and other personal information. (Sharing this information helps personalize your experience, but if you have privacy concerns, consider whether you're comfortable with this level of access before connecting.)
You can also unlink any app whenever you want directly from the Settings menu.
Available applications
Reservation.com
The integration with the online travel giant aims to help travelers, especially first-time visitors, who need suggestions on where to stay.
Once you've connected your Booking.com account, you can ask ChatGPT to find hotels in the city of your choice based on your dates and budget. You can also specify how many people will be coming and whether you want the hotel to be close to public transport. ChatGPT aims to make this process more intuitive than searching directly on Booking.com. You can also provide more detailed information, for example, search for “breakfast included” options.

Canva

Canva on ChatGPT is a helpful tool for graphic designers and anyone who needs to quickly generate visual content. Whether it's a social media post, poster or presentation slides, this can be a good way to start your project and brainstorm.
Once you've connected your Canva account, you can ask ChatGPT to design something like a “16:9 slide deck on our Q4 roadmap” or a “fun poster for a dog walking company.” You can provide details such as preferred fonts, color schemes, formats (such as Instagram posts or stories), and exact dimensions.
AI-generated designs are rarely perfect, sometimes with distorted images or spelling errors. However, some users may find this a better solution than starting from scratch and can go to Canva at any time to refine their design and make it look the way they want.
Kursra

Coursera integration is designed to help you quickly find the best online courses for your skill level. For example, you can ask ChatGPT to find an “intermediate Python course.” You can then ask the chatbot to compare course options by rating, duration, and cost before signing up. ChatGPT can also provide a quick overview of what exactly each course covers.
Expedia

ChatGPT can display hotel and flight options via Expedia without leaving the chat. Whether you're looking for a quick escape or a longer trip, you'll find flights to suit your travel dates, budget and number of travelers. You can narrow down the information by saying something like “Show only 4-star hotels.” When you see something you like, head over to Expedia to finalize everything and book your trip.
Figma

To use Figma in ChatGPTyou can ask it to generate diagrams, flowcharts and more. This is useful for turning ideas and brainstorms into something more tangible. It can also be useful for visualizing complex concepts or workflows.
You can also upload files and ask the chatbot to generate a product roadmap for your team. This roadmap can include milestones, deliverables, and deadlines, helping your team stay organized and focused on their goals.
Spotify

One of the most useful aspects of using Spotify with ChatGPT is the ability to quickly create playlists and listen to new, recommended songs tailored to your tastes. You can ask it to create a playlist based on your current mood, or just a playlist containing only songs by your favorite band.
It can also suggest new artists, playlists, audiobooks, and podcast episodes. Additionally, ChatGPT can perform actions on your behalf, including adding and removing items from your Spotify library.
Zillow

If you are looking for a new home, Zillow on ChatGPT can make your search easier. With a simple text search, you can find homes that meet your criteria and apply filters to narrow down your results. Whether you're looking for a specific price range, number of rooms, or specific neighborhoods, you can include these details in the prompt, making the search process much more efficient and tailored to your needs.
What's next?
In addition to announcing that OpenAI will bring apps to ChatGPT, the company also said it plans to welcome additional partners soon, including DoorDash, OpenTable, Target, Uber and Walmart. These will be launched later this year.
ChatGPT app integration rollout is currently limited to the United States and Canada. Users in Europe and the UK are excluded for now.
