Midjourney presented the long -awaited V7 image generation model – His first important update for over a year. Now available in public Alfa, V7 introduces significant improvements in both visual quality and user functionalities, signaling a bold new phase for one of the most used AI image tools on the Internet.
The V7 has a completely rebuilt architecture, providing much sharper results with significantly improved details, realism of textures and consistency of objects. One of the most noticeable improvements is how well complex body parts do, such as hands and fingers-many years of challenges for AI image generators. Materials such as material, leather and ceramics also seem more realistic, offering creators better tools for artistic expression.
The Draft mode is distinguished by the V7 function, which allows users to quickly iron visual concepts. The draft mode render images 10 times faster and half the costs of standard jobs, making it ideal for a creative brainstorming. Although the images in draft mode are lower, they can be easily improved to full resolution with a click.
Personalization is another important addition. After starting from V7, users are asked to evaluate about 200 photos to build a custom aesthetic profile. This allows the model to better understand individual preferences and generate visualizations adapted to the style of each user. Personalization can be switched or turned off at any time.
David Holz, general director of Midjourney, describes V7 as a “completely different architecture” with a smarter fast interpretation and a much better visual coherence.
The model starts in two modes:
- Turbo: It offers fast, high -quality results at double costs.
- Relax: Slower but profitable rendering for less sensitive projects.
Some functions – such as shifts, a contract and edition – are currently back to V6, but updates are soon expected. The company also irritated with the main upcoming function: a tool for reference characters and objects for V7, probably in the next two months.
Midjourney, once available only via Discord, now has a modern interface of internet applications, which makes it more accessible to new users. Despite the ongoing legal debates on AI training on copyrights protected by copyright, the platform remains a central tool of digital art, designing concept and even work flows in creating AI video.
