WhatsApp launches a new AI function, which allows users to reorinate, adjust or customize the tone of their messages, a meta company announced on Wednesday.
The new function, entitled “Writing Help”, uses private meta processing technology, which allows users to receive answers generated by AI without meta or WhatsApp reading the original message or suggested rewriting. This means that the platform messages remain private, even if people use the new tool.
Thanks to the help of writing, users can get suggestions generated by AI, which rewrite their messages in a professional, funny, supporting or reformed way.
WhatsApp presented this function in the image of the product displaying the original message of the user: “Do not leave dirty socks on the couch.” Then artificial intelligence offers “funny” rewriting, such as: “Please, do not do the sofa cemetery with socks”, “Breaking news: socks found on the couch. Please move them” and “Hey, ninja sock, the laundry basket is this!”
Along with this launch, WhatsApp probably hopes that people use their technology in the application when developing messages, not external tools such as chatgPT.
Of course, not everyone will like a new function, because users probably prefer authentic, personal conversations with friends and family about the news generated by AI. The use of artificial intelligence for rewriting e -mail is one thing; Using it for your grandmother is another one.
WhatsApp claims that users can access the new function, tapping a new pencil icon that appears when developing messages in the application.
