Microsoft Ignite It starts on November 19th This year. Although there will be a lot of updates of products and reports on the state about Microsoft Copilot and other Microsoft AI tools, the real benefit of this program will probably have much less common with products and services, and much more with suppliers and peers who are at the exhibition.
Ai moves very quickly, and Microsoft is still coming out on the front of the field, but its basic offer is based on chatgpt, which is the property of OpenAi, a company that has difficulty in management and organizational and seems to fight ethical problems. This does not bode well for this platform in the long term.
As a result, here are a few things where I think you should focus, regardless of whether you participate in Microsoft Ignite in person or remotely.
Where ai works and where it does not work
The type of AI, which we currently implement, is called generative artificial intelligence. It is a talented AI platform, which is much stronger than its predecessors, but it is not artificial general intelligence (Agi). This means that each implementation is highly concentrated. Complex tasks may require many AIS, which significantly increasing the risk of failure and problems related to ensuring the resulting solution. These AI must work as a team to perform this task, so interoperability is important. Even more important are companies, services and consultants that you use to create a unique solution.
Conversation with peers, suppliers and service providers in the series will help you get under the marketing noise to find out if anyone has done something like what you need. Ignite is a great event to the network, and this network can better ensure a positive result for your project.
It should be remembered that most AI implementation is still failures, so making sure that the basis for the solution you want to create is solid, becomes a huge priority, and great certainty of this assurance is related to whether your project is still profitable. People in the series can help in this.
Whose suppliers can be trusted
We are early in the AI cycle. Companies such as Microsoft and Nvidia are certainly capable. Many of you will use OEM and service providers to help you design and implement solutions, but a large number of these people are long promising and short from AI's skills and abilities. Most of them did not even arrange AI in any significant way internally, so if you employ them, they learn in your work, which probably will not end well.
Such an event is the possibility of establishing which suppliers and service providers have solid skills, and which live in the field of marketing security, which have no grounds. In addition, even in the case of contractors, taking into account how fast demand has risen, there is a high probability that the team you get will not be fast, so it is important to find performing teams. Even with companies that seem capable, you can still end up with a failed project.
Which suppliers/service providers can reach earth
I learned something on my own skin years ago, namely looking for support for such a project from someone who knows your industry, knows your company and is an expert in the solution you want to implement. Too often I see that stores use suppliers who trust to do the work for which the supplier is not qualified, and this usually does not end well. I am a great fan of the seller's loyalty, but I'm not a fan of learning in my work.
After passing a large disaster, which resulted from using the supplier I knew and trusted, but who did not understand the tools I wanted to use, from that time I came to the conclusion that if you want to use a trusted supplier, you should follow his advice and specialist knowledge and use the tool recommendation. If you do not like this tool or solution, replace the supplier with a proven alternative that knows this tool.
Ignite is a great place to find alternative suppliers who are familiar and successfully implemented that the solution you have come to the conclusion is best for what you want to do. Ai is very good when it is done correctly, but it is extremely expensive. It is best to choose partners who know how to implement it over those who do not do it.
Wrapping
It is an old saying that raising a child requires a village. Well, it requires a competent team that knows tools and understands your company to effectively implement artificial intelligence. Given the novelty of this technology, there is only a handful of suppliers and service providers who are qualified to implement what you want on your website. The use of Microsoft Ignite as a way to determine who these people can be, and then check them with peers who used them, provides a potential quick path to successful implementation and expected benefits.
Use your time in Ignite to find out not only about products, but about people and services you need to implement them effectively.
